base building:
Traditional War Bases generally tend to centralize the Town Hall with a symmetrical wall layout. This old-style of base design is easier for the opponent to scout and predict traps and Hidden Teslas placements. None-symmetrical bases are now favored over the traditional styles due to the high level of flexibility they allow in customizing the base to defend against specific attack strategies.

As Hogs and laloon are the most viable 3 star strategies for TH9, you need to keep this in mind when building a war base. Understanding how an attacker would possibly approach the base with a golaloon portion of the attack will influence the positioning of buildings such as aire defenses ,giant and barb king relative to the queen .  

town hall and storages:
Town Hall is no longer a priority. Gone are the days of centralized THs. The Town Hall is to be simply treated as a high hit-point. storages are also extremely useful as high hit-point buildings that can be used strategically for tanking on key defenses or the queen .

compartments and core:
Aim to have around 10 to 15 compartments. too few compartments will be vulnerable to gowipe/wiwi ( and who wants to be 3ed by gowipe, right?! :).
in other hand too many compartments means it will be very compact and vulnerable for hogs.


The core should neither be too large or too small , sometimes finding the perfect size can be a challenge . 
an example for a core that opens up too many compartments using one jump or quad-quake (right photo). extremely vulnerable for govaho\gowiwi.
for a solid core try to make the core compartment longer then 6 tiles .
earth-quake:can break up to 8 tiles .
 making the compartments 9 tiles long (at least some of them) will reduce the earthquake's effectiveness and overall will make it harder  for the attacker to choose from which way to start.

Archer queen:
the archer queen is another key component that you must take under consideration in your base design. in the past, we used to always have her centralized. although you had to make a deep push to reach her, this gave the enemy more freedom in what angle they could attack from. a more common feature you see in anti-3 star bases nowadays is the off centered AQ in her own compartment with multiple high HP buildings.
the purpose of this is to keep the double giant bombs and air defenses as far away from the queen as possible

the AQ has to be in at least 9x9 tiles compartment and she has to be in the middle at the very least .
if the compartment is too small she might jump out and be exposed to a king suicide .
sometimes when the queen locks on a moving target she may jump over 4 tiles . the 9x9 tile size is the bare minimum so be creative ;).
fill the compartment with high HP buildings such as th and storages and just a few defenses to back her up.

air defense: 
make sure to place them as far away from the queen and spread them in different compartments.
the  AQ can shoot over  4 tiles so try to make sure that all of your air defenses are out of her
attack range .( an excellent example shown in the picture above)


important: place your wiz towers away from air defenses .
you dont want them locking on to lava hounds they're much more effective against loons.

Clan Rules:


Outside of wars we ask that you:

- Speak English as we are an english speaking clan.
- Donate. We do not have a fixed ratio but make sure it isn't hugely imbalanced.
-
donate only what is asked for

- download the Band app and join our Band chat "cleean fire" this will be the secondary chat
 where we share attack strategies and tips
 COC regular chat more for fun dialogue and it doesn't keep threads for long.
 this is an easy way for us to know if you have truly read these rules btw.
- contribute to the clan
- be kind
- not swear (unless you have to ;-)
- support co's and  elders in strategies for attacks
- share ideas on chat or Band
- elder earned over time doing all the above


Clan war Rules:

- new members sit out one war
- please do not be rushed (max out at each TH)
- If you are a fresh th8/9/10 opt out , max your offense first
  
1. no 2 stars attacks such as gowiwi/gowipe allowed!!(if you don't know any 3 stars strategies 
don't be shy feel free to ask us in band/ign chat. we have tons of great resources to share 
2. Use both attacks in war ( if you happened to miss one of your attacks you'll be warned once ) 
3. Donate only what is asked for and only maxed troops for war
4. War is about stars, not loot. there is no farming allowed.
 your attacks are for the entire clan - not you.
5. join Band "cleen fire" and use it for dialogue about war
6. Plan your opt outs and hero upgrades accordingly.
 HAVING BOTH HEROES IN WAR IS A MUST!!!
7. TH 9 players may negotiate first attacks based on comfort, skill level, troop level etc.
 Sometimes another player can three star your mirror but you can't.
8. Scout your base during prep day. Determine the very best approach to get three stars.
 When in doubt ask on Band or in-game chat. And yes we are trying for three always!
9. th7/8s are to clear TH 7/8 targets
10. Positivity only please. We all make mistakes but we are a learning clan.
 No one learns under harsh criticism, sarcasm, or berating so we don't want any of that. 
What is helpful are tips and encouragement.
 We want all our players to learn and grow to become even better players.
11. Replays are significant. Watch them, use them, reflect on them.
 Did your base get three starred? It may not mean you have to dump it if the replay 
reveals a quick fix to prevent.
12. Be a learner. find a great website that others could learn from? Share it!
